SaturdayFoodTwippin#1 : Satisfying our sweet tooth at Caffe Bene!

Since my cousin Kevin started working at Meralco, he made it a point to always attend mass at St. Pio of Peitrelcina chapel in Libis every Saturday. I live one jeepney away from there so he'd stay for a while at our place until the 5:30 pm mass. I attend mass with him to keep him company. My cousin lives in Quezon City and this is the only available time for us to catch up with one another. Considering that St. Pio's chapel is just beside Eastwood city, we would go straight to Eastwood after mass and try out coffee/pastry shops where we could talk and just chill and this became a routine.

So yesterday, February 15, we were looking for cafe xocolat since I was in the mood to have a chitchat over a hot cup of chocolate. I read t'was along eastwoood citywalk 2 so we headed there. Unfortunately, there wasn't any cafe xocolat around the area. Instead,  we found a chain of coffee shops including coffee bean and tea leaf, starbucks, caffe bene etc. The Caffe Bene's interior caught my intention. You can see the insides since the glass wall extends from the ceiling down to the floor. The store has very high ceiling and the ambiance was super inviting, warm, cozy and friendly. The shop is mostly made up of wood including the chairs and the tables. They have bright lighting on the first floor. The shop somehow radiates a cool and relaxing feeling just like when you're staying in a rest house so I quickly tugged my cousin inside.

We moved to the counter and what I especially liked about this place is that they have a wide array of bakery items to choose from compared to other cafe. They also have a gelato and affogato counter.

Moving up to the second floor, twas even more homey in ambiance. They have this lounge-like area with book shelves around. This place is very ideal if you want some lone time to do some school works or paperworks or just unwind.

Just like Coffee Bean and Tea leaf, Caffe Bene gives this device that vibrates and lights up, to customers for specific orders that may take few minutes to serve.

You can also ask for the TOKEN at the counter for the shop's free wifi

So these were what we ordered:

Single Chocolate Gelato. 95 pesos

It may be embarassing to admit but this was my first time to try gelato. I enjoyed it so much I might NOT go back to the conventional ice cream any longer hahaha. T'was very rich and creamy. Gelatos dont melt as easily as normal ice creams do.

Caramel Cinnamon Honey Bread. 145 pesos.

We ordered this particularly because it is relatively huge as compared to the other bakery items of the same price. We were both overwhelmed by its size and sweetness. This honey bread is good for 2-3 persons. We ended up not finishing the bread though its delicious.

  Large Mocha Frappuccino. 155 pesos

Till next time!
